Catawba Yacht Club is a private, non-profit club on Lake Wylie in Charlotte, North Carolina. This policy covers information collected through catawbayachtclub.org.

We only collect information you choose to give us:

• Contact form — your name, email, phone number, how you heard about the club and your message.
• Membership application — the details requested on the club's guest membership application, including contact information, family information, sponsors and the background questions on the form.

We do not sell information, and we do not use the site to collect payment card details.

Contact inquiries are routed to the appropriate officer or fleet captain so someone can answer you. Membership applications are reviewed by the club officers and membership committee as part of the admission process, and are shared with your listed sponsors where that is part of the process. Information is used for club business only.

Submissions are stored in the club's website database and are visible only to club officers and volunteers who administer this site. We may share information where required by law.

The site uses only the cookies needed for basic operation and for keeping an administrator signed in. We may review aggregate, non-identifying traffic statistics to understand which pages are useful. Pages that embed the club's Google Calendar, maps or social feeds may set cookies from those providers under their own policies.

Inquiries and applications are kept as long as needed for club records. You can ask us to correct or delete what you have submitted.

The site is not directed at children. Information about a member's children is provided by a parent or guardian on the membership application.
